Kranj´s traditional cuisine is, like in the whole of the Gorenjska region, associated with cow cheese and other cheeses. Because of the alpine dairies nearby, the kranj cuisine also includes sheep products. Millet or buckwheat porridge and boiled cheese dumplings are also typical of the Kranj region. Kranj is also known not only for venison dishes but for its sausages too. The local cuisine is offered to you in a number of local restaurants. Treditional bee-keeping offers a variety of honey, drink and medicinal products.
